（通讯员：刘蓉）7月9日（星期三）下午14：00，哥伦比亚大学梅尔曼公共卫生学院生物统计学系金哲振教授应邀并在北湖校区数学与统计学院新楼212为数学与统计学院师生作学术报告。数学与统计学院院长王纯杰教授主持报告会。

报告人简介：金哲振，南开统计杰出校友，哥伦比亚大学梅尔曼公共卫生学院生物统计学系教授，美国统计学会(ASA)Fellow国际数理统计学会(IMS)Fellow，具有丰富的指导学生经验和扎实的论文写作功底，谷歌学术引用超1万次，联合创编了期刊Contemporary Clinical Trial Communication. 现任Journal of American Cardiology College和Kidney International的统计编辑，曾任包括Journal of American Statistical Association等统计学顶尖期刊在内的多个期刊的副主编。

报告题目：On novel application of classical linear regression in biomedical study

摘要：In this talk, I will present a working model based on classical linear regression model: one is to study the effect of exposure mixture on the continuous health outcomes and the other is to study resting energy expenditure. The approaches were formulated with hypothesis testing and working model specifications. Both theoretical justification and numerical studies will be presented.

金教授作题为“On novel application of classical linear regression in biomedical study”,把生存分析方法应用于实际例子中，用检验的方法进行统计推断，该方法有效的处理叠加效应，具有广泛的应用价值。

本次报告会为我院师生带来统计学新视角。数学与统计学院将以此为契机，将继续关注生存分析的实际应用，为医疗发展贡献智慧。
